Call for Education Course proposals

2018 ARVO Education Courses

ARVO is now accepting proposals from ARVO members who wish to organize an education course.
Submission deadline: Monday, July 17 at 8am EST.

Review the Education Course Proposal Guidelines then Submit a proposal for an ARVO Education Course.

The courses will be held on Saturday, April 28, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Proposals may be for a half-day (8:30am - noon or 1 - 4:30pm) or full day (8:30am - 4:30pm) course. A 15-minute refreshment break is included in the morning and/or afternoon, and a one-hour lunch break is included for full day courses. Boxed lunches are provided for full day courses.

Proposals must be submitted by an ARVO member and are considered for selection by the Professional Development and Education Committee (PDEC). Decision notifications will be sent the week of August 14, 2017.

The proposal should describe an identified educational need that requires in-depth review and discussion, includes participant interaction with experts and does not fit within the current annual meeting structure. Course agenda items should build upon and relate to one another in order to meet specified learning objectives.

Course topics may be scientific, skills-related, fulfill professional development needs or otherwise be of direct benefit to ARVO members. Topics that are likely to attract 100 or more registrants are highly desired.

The following templates are to be used to submit the proposed course agenda. Please complete them before beginning the online form.

In addition to PDEC approval for the course content, the ARVO CME Committee will review all approved courses for CME-eligibility.
