ARVO Global Mentorship Pilot Program
Are you an ARVO Member-in-Training or early career researcher looking for advice on general career development, work-life balance and how to actively engage in ARVO? Or are you an established scientist who wants to help develop the career of a student, trainee or early-career investigator?
As part of the pilot Global Mentoring Program, ARVO will pair 50 members-in-training and early-career scientists with a mid- to senior-ARVO mentor who will provide guidance on non-science career development, work-life balance and engaging in ARVO. The pilot program requires a year-long commitment, January – December 2018. The 2018 application period will open in the fall (approximately October 15 - November 15, 2017).
- The mentor-mentee relationship is not supervised by ARVO staff.
- The mentorship program does not include collaboration or guidance in research science.
