ARVO’s newest journal to examine
translational vision research
ARVO will introduce its third journal, Translational Vision Science & Technology (TVST), this spring. TVST will be an online only, peer-reviewed journal emphasizing multidisciplinary research that bridges the gap between basic research and clinical care. The TVST submission site will be open in January.

- Defense vision research cut 20% — Congress has cut the Peer Reviewed Medical Research-Vision line in defense appropriations from the FY2011 level of $4 million to $3.2 million for FY2012.
