Ludwig von Sallmann Clinician-Scientist Award recent recipient
ARVO Foundation congratulates the 2016 Ludwig von Sallmann Clinician-Scientist Award recipient, Steven Yeh, MD, Emory Eye Center, Emory University School of Medicine.
Yeh, MD, is the director of the Uveitis Service at Emory University. He also is the M. Louise Simpson Associate Professor in Ophthalmology and specializes in the care of patients with uveitis and vitreoretinal surgical diseases. After residency training at the Cullen Eye Institute, Baylor College of Medicine, he completed a combined uveitis and medical retina fellowship at the National Eye Institute, National Institutes of Health, followed by a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the Casey Eye Institute, Oregon Health and Science University
Yeh's clinical and research interests include diagnostic imaging for the management of posterior uveitis, infectious uveitis syndromes, local and systemic immunotherapy for adult and pediatric noninfectious uveitis and more recently, the management of Ebola-associated uveitis in the U.S. and in West Africa. He currently serves on the Ophthalmic Technology Assessment Committee and the Uveitis Knowledge Base Panel of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Yeh is a former Heed Fellow, Ron Michels Fellow, and has received a Senior Honor Award from the American Society of Retina Specialists.
