Membership in ARVO benefits the education and career development of members-in-training in a variety of ways. This includes targeted events and workshops at the Annual Meeting, opportunities for networking with colleagues, and information about funding and professional development.
The ARVO 2014 Annual Meeting has new workshops and features just for our Members-in-Training. Make sure you see what's waiting for you in Orlando!
Who are Members-in-Training
"Members-in-Training" are ARVO Members who are students and/or trainees in the early stages of their career. Membership dues are significantly lowered for this class of members.
The MIT Committee is available to address the needs and concerns of Members-in-Training. They're the reason more student/trainee workshops are available at the Annual Meeting this year! Share your thoughts and comments by contacting the MIT Committee or get involved by volunteering to serve for a two-year term.
At-Large MIT Board of Trustee member
In 2011, the ARVO Board of Trustees added a new seat to represent and communicate the needs of ARVO’s student member community. An ex officio non-voting position, the At-large Members-in-Training Trustee position is a two-year term that begins with the Fall Board of Trustees Meeting.
Megan Capozzi is the current At-large Members-in-Training Trustee. Her term will conclude with the 2015 Fall Board Meeting.
