Preparing for partnering: Core competencies

Free webinar: Aug. 18 | 10 - 11:15 am ET
Hosted by the Commercial Relationships Committee (CRC)

Partnerships between industry and academia are needed for successful translation of discoveries to clinical application. In particular, drug development requires expertise and resources that may only be available in industry or academia at various points in the development cycle. Better understanding of core elements in drug development helps investigators partner with industry experts. This webinar will highlight critical areas in the process of taking a discovery made in academia through to clinical testing.

After attending this webinar, Investigators that are interested in translational application of their discoveries will understand:

    • How to protect intellectual property
    • Derisk technologies to promote partnering with industry
    • Preclinical toxiciology testing and testing geared towards regulatory filing
    • Clinical testing and planning required for regulatory filing
    • How to leverage resources around them to advance their technologies towards translational application.

This webinar is provided at no charge and hosted by ARVO's Commercial Relationships (CRC) committee. A Certificate of Attendance will be available to all attendees.
