Members-in-Training

ARVO membership benefits the education and career development of Members-in-Training in various ways. This includes access to targeted events at the Annual Meeting, opportunities for networking with colleagues, and information about funding and professional development.

Who are Members-in-Training

Members-in-Training, or MITs, are ARVO Members who are students and/or trainees in the early stages of their career. Membership dues are significantly lowered for this class of members.

Individuals in full-time training at institutions of higher learning in a scientific field related to vision or ophthalmology who have attained a doctorate level degree.

In training: Students and pre-doctoral graduate students
Individuals enrolled full-time as undergraduates, graduate, optometry students or medical students at institutions of higher learning in a scientific field related to vision or ophthalmology who have not earned a doctorate level degree.
