Get to know Goldis Malek, PhD, FARVO
Meet ARVO member Goldis Malek, PhD, FARVO, associate professor of ophthalmology and pathology at Duke University (Durham, NC). ARVONews sat down with Malek to learn how she got hooked on vision science and about her current research on understanding what leads to development of age diseases of the eye, such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Malek also shared highlights of her engagement with ARVO through the years, plus her advice for junior researchers on the benefits of getting more involved.
